Pillow cover for my Omi!

January wasn't the most productive month I've lived to see.
But at least I can report one finish for the first month of the year {I know some of you yank out several quilts per month out of your quilting studio but I have come to accept that I'm just not the type who can do that...:)}. It's not even a quilt, but a teeny tiny simple last-minute pillow cover (12")  for my sweet Omi, whom I visited two weeks ago.
I used 'Rural Jardin' by French General, the fabric from my mom's quilt-to-be and serged the 'frame' seams. For the closure I made a simple flap closure (?), because I'm still afraid of zippers and this was not the time to get over it :).

It seems she liked it...at least I'm sure my Oma was happy on the day we took this picture.
So, Kris, look! This is my first finish for the 2011 OPAM! Yay!
