this week's focus is on a single print, 'henna garden' by the famous sandy henderson who designs for michael miller fabrics. isn't that print happy? which is your favourite color? {there are three more colorways of this print - pumpkin, spring, and brown which are not yet in my collection.}
some clever twins, jessica and jennifer of twinfibers, made quilts using only these prints together with a solid...jessica's and jennifer's...cool idea, if you ask me!
from left to right 'henna garden' in: citrus - leaf - melon - persimmon - speckle - pink - red - raspberry - turquoise |
der dieswöchige fff liegt auf einem einzigen design, 'henna garden', von sandy handerson, die stoffe für michael miller fabrics entwirft. macht der nicht gute laune? (genau das richtige für einen tristen novembertag) welches ist eure lieblingsfarbe? {es fehlen mir - noch - drei farben, und zwar pumpkin, spring und brown...aber die werde ich irgendwann auch noch zu meiner sammlung hinzufügen.}
die cleveren zwillinge, jessica und jennifer von twinfibers, haben je einen quilt genäht, in dem sie ausschließlich die henna garden stoffe und unis verwendet haben...super idee, wenn ihr mich fragt!
have a great weekend,
julia
I love this collection! The funny/weird thing is I ordered a yard of the aqua & it came in today...funny!
ReplyDeletewirklich schön. Ich kannte bis jetzt nur 2 Farben. Jetzt gerade gefällt mir gelb am besten. Der Quilt von twinfibers ist irre.
ReplyDeleteHey Julia! Wow! Bright fabrics there! They remind me of tropical holidays for some reason ... maybe it's cos I WANT a tropical holiday?!?! Tee! Hee! Hee! I think the red and turquoise ones are my fave ... can't wait to see what you do with them! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS
ReplyDeleteI agree - very happy prints! I just bought some of these to replenish my stash, since I was down to henna scraps. I think my favorite would be either the pink on pink or pink on red.
ReplyDeleteThis print is known as henna design. As they have the design like the petals of them. And the color is also very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are great fabrics, aren't they?! Can't wait to see what you do with them! :) ~Jessica
