The weather just wasn't cooperating! The whole week I waited for some rays of sunshine to go out with my quilt to photograph it for the Blogger's Quilt Festival Fall 2010 hosted by Amy of Amy's Creative Side. Now there are less than 10 hours left and the sun still hasn't shown yet. I fear I'll have - again - to show you only some indoor crappy pictures of it. Oooh, I see that Holger still hasn't attached the baseboard...tssss...
The quilt is the 'Vintage Memories Block of the Month' by Sherri Falls of This & That using 3 Sisters 'Martinique'...so there isn't much to tell about the story of this quilt... I really had fun making the quilt this summer. It is the first (and to date the only) quilt I gave out of my hands for quilting so my entry for the Festival is actually an entry from the piecer (moi) and the fabulous longarm quilter Birgit Bradler of Living Quilts.

I love the colors of your quilt! It so calls to me. Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteHey Julia! Your quilts are GORGEOUS! You must be very pleased that you tried out the idea of getting someone else to quilt your quilt ... now there'll be more time for you to MAKE them! :0) Had a giggle about the missing baseboard! Tee! Hee! Hee! I often take photos and then discover during editing that there is a cobweb or something strange in the background ... I'm sure they're not there when I'm TAKING the photos! :0) Happy stitching - can't wait to see your next pretty quilt! Bear Hugs! KRIS
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts! Love the colours and the designs.
