Lucky Blossom ;o)

Kennt Ihr Camille Rosekelley? Nein? Ja? Ich wette, dass Ihr sie kennt. Sie ist die Tochter des Designer Duos, das die "Cotton Blossoms" Stoffkollektion für moda fabric entworfen hat, außerdem hat sie schon viele geniale Quilt-Anleitungen veröffentlicht. Auf ihrem Blog Simplify zeigt sie uns ein bisschen aus ihrem Leben als Designerin & Mutter von zwei süßen Knirpsen (Zwillinge!)...ich mag ihren Foto-Stil sehr {obwhol sie eine Nikon-erin ist, lol} & jep, ich bin ein großer Fan ihrer Designs Einfach aber so gemütlich. Sehr anders als das, was ich bisher so auf meinem Blog gezeigt habe, aber ich hab Camille für mich schon vor einer Weile entdeckt und es ist wirklich schade, dass ich es noch nicht geschafft habe, einen Quilt von ihr zu nähen...
"Wallflower" ist mein Favorit und ich denke, dass ich den tatsächlich {mit mehr oder weniger (un)gewollten Abweichungen} nähen werde, da mir vor kurzem zu einem unwiderstehlichen Preis eine "Cotton Blossoms - Daughter" Jelly Roll in meinen Einkaufskorb gehüpft ist - ich konnte gar nichts dagegen tun ;o). Es gibt noch ein zweites Design, das mit "Wallflower" um den ersten Platz bei mir streitet: "Bloom". Beide Quilts sind definitiv "little girl quilts" - hihi...
Nun hat Camille eine absolut geniale Aktion auf ihrem Blog: eine glückliche Gewinnerin darf sich ein Pattern von ihr aussuchen und sie näht den Quilt dann für sie (oder ihn)! Wie genial ist das denn? Das wäre dann ein echter Designer Quilt im Haus der Gewinnerin...Die Chancen stehen gut, dass ich nicht gewinne, aber trotzdem werde ich bald irgendwann einen Thimbleblossoms-Quilt mein Eigen nennen dürfen ;o). - Vielleicht sollte ich mir wirklich mal eine "Quilts, die Realität werden wollen"-Warteliste anlegen...ich verliere schon langsam den Überblick...

Do you know Camille Rosekelley? No? Yes? I bet you do. She's the daughter of the Designer Duo that created the fabulous "Cotton Blossoms" fabric collection for moda fabric & she has published many GORGEOUS patterns. At her blog Simplify she shares some pieces of her life as designer and mother of two adorably cute boys {twins!} with us...love her style taking pictures {although she's a Nikon-er, lol} & of course I am a huge fan of her designs. They're simple, modern but yet so cosy. Completely different to what I showed on my blog, but I'm secretly in love with her fabric & patterns for a while now and it's a pity I haven't found the time to make one of her quilts!

But there is a second pattern that compete against the "Wallflower" quilt - "Bloom". Both quilts are definitely "little girl quilts" ;o)...

Now Camille is hosting a fabulous giveaway...you won't believe it but she actually will make a quilt of one of her patterns for one lucky winner - wow, this will be a real designer quilt in the recipients home! Of course I had to participate...even though chances are high that I don't win. Anyway, even if I don't win I will soon someday have my own Thimbleblossoms quilt... perhaps I really should make a "Quilts that wants to be made" waitlist...I'll lose track of all quilts that I have planned further than just the idea for it (read: bought pattern and/or fabric).
I borrowed the pictures of the patterns from the Thimbleblossoms website - I hope that was O.K. since the pictures are used in online stores as well...
