It's about time -today, two secret projects will be revealed. I'm afraid that I only can show you one of them for now...the second is about 6,000 miles away & and of course I forgot to take a photo. Never mind, it soon comes back to me and then I'll catch up.
Today is the last meeting with the girls for sewing, chatting, snacking...and some more chit-chat & munching ;o). At our last get together we decided to have a secret santa (Julklapp) and I got Ela to make a gift for {but I don't know who' got me... I'm not curious...not me *lol*}. So I started thinking of what I could give her...a million ideas and then again none... Finally I decided to try the pattern for Christmas Stockings ('Waiting for Santa') I recently won at Leanne's blog {it's a great pattern!}. I searched my Christmas stash for some 'fresh' fabrics - Leanne created the original stockings with fabric from the 'Swell' collection so they are quite modern & 'clean'. Because the instructions were written for two stockings, Ela's little Anton got one for himself. I added a fq of the blue green fabric - voilà, the secret santa gift is ready for giving.
And while speaking of Christmas Stockings...yesterday we had the first snow... winter is finally here!
Take care,
thanks for stopping by,
Julia

Hey Julia! Your stockings turned out wonderfully - I'm sure your friend will love them! And what great timing to win Leanne's pattern just when you need to make Christmas presents!! Brrrr! That snow may look pretty, but it also looks cold - mind you, we're not exactly getting the most 'summery' weather at the moment! Can't wait for it to warm up properly - I'm a summer girl! Happy stitching and Santa Swapping! Bear Hugs! KRIS
ReplyDeleteOh Julia your stockings are gorgeous!!! Hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner ... I think I'd better hurry up with my Christmas stitching!!

I love your Christmas stockings...isn't it great to have little patterns to make gifts? Have a terrific day!
