Friday Fabric Focus

It's Friday again, and because I love alliterations I thought I'll post another 'Friday Fabric Focus'...maybe this will even become a regular as I have MANY fabrics I love to share ;o)

Schon wieder Freitag, und da ich Alliterationen mag, dachte ich, dass ich einen weiteren 'Friday Fabric Focus' poste...was sich ja auch anbietet, da ich wirklich VIELE schöne Stöffchen habe, die ich gerne zeige...vielleicht wird das ja auch eine regelmäßige Sache...mal schauen... ;o).

Today it's just one fabric I love to drool over...fittingly, it's the 'Graph Paper' print of the 'Girl Friday' collection by Cosmo Cricket for Andover Fabrics. I accidently found it on sale and immediately fell in love with it...

I can already see it as background fabric for some cute stitcheries...!

Diese Woche ist es tatsächlich nur ein Stoff...passenderweise ist es das 'Graph Paper' Design der 'Girl Friday' Kollektion von Cosmo Cricket für Andover Fabrics. Ich habe den Stoff durch Zufall mal im 'Sale'-Bereich eines berüchtigten Online-Shops gefunden und war sofort hin und weg...

Ich kann ihn mir als Hintergrundstoff für Stitcheries vorstellen...!

friday fabric focus - {lime&aqua}

 It's already the first Friday of the year...time to resume with Friday Fabric Focus...and although I do have one or more fabric aquisitions from the last month to show I wanted to start with something fresh and spring-y. I am really drawn to this reduced color palette...it matches my aqua wall pretty well.

Der erste Freitag im neuen Jahr ist bereits gekommen...Zeit, den Friday Fabric Focus wieder auszugraben...und obwohl ich noch ein paar vorweihnachtliche Stoffakquisitionen :) zu zeigen habe, wollte ich mit etwas frischem, frühlingshaftem anfangen. Das Farbschema hat es mir wirklich angetan...es passt ganz gut zu meiner türkis-blauen Wand.

friday fabric focus - {aqua & white}

Yes, I know the graph paper print by Cosmo Cricket for Andover Fabrics has been featured more than once. But last week an envelope from the US arrived after a more than six weeks' travel. The envelope  had some special fabric-y goodess inside: the dotted lines!

Not in that envelope but a bit "older" is the 'Quilter's Linen' by Kaufman. The linen structure is printed on cotton. I was curious how it would be...first I wasn't so sure about it (because somehow I missed that it wasn't actually linen), but the longer I look at it, the more I like it!

Ja, ich weiß, der Milimeterpapier-Stoff von Cosmo Cricket für Andover Fabrics hatte schon mehr als einen Auftritt hier, aber heute ist er nur Komparse für seinen Partner, der nach einer Reise von mehr als sechs Wochen endlich bei mir angekommen ist!

Nicht in der gleichen Sendung, sondern schon etwas 'älter' ist der hellblaue 'Quilter's Linen' Print von Kaufman. Die Leinenstruktur ist tatsächlich nur aufgedruckt auf die Baumwolle. Ich war neugierig wie der Stoff in natura sein würde...erst war ich nicht so begeistert, da ich irgendwie verplant hatte, dass das gar kein Leinenstoff ist (jaja, lesen macht kluch!), je länger ich den Stoff jedoch betrachte, desto besser finde ich ihn!
