The last block of the 2008 Designer Mystery BOM arrived last week & I assembled it piece by piece in my spare minutes. Initially I wanted to make a large quilt for my bed...and already played a bit with some design ideas {sorry, I saved some pictures from EQ but can't get them now...}. The result was a design someone else already did better than me. Amandajean @ CrazyMomQuilts chose a similar layout for her beautiful Star Quilt Along. Now, having all blocks together, I'm not sure wether I should rather make a Christmas-y sofa quilt....hmmmm....scratching my head...

Hallo Julia,
Bin gespannt!
Liebe Grüße

Hey Julia! Your Mystery BOM blocks are looking GORGEOUS!! Can't wait to see how they look all joined together - you clever chook! And you obviously have FAR more patience than me if you're going to join all those little triangles to make a mini quilt top!! You and Stina must the as patient as each other - she often joins tiny pieces to make gorgeous pin cushions and mini projects - think I'll stick to the big ones! :0) Have a great weekend - Bear Hugs! KRIS
ReplyDeleteOh, Julia,
Jutta

V. here... This is the first time at your blog and it is beautifu!! I love your gorgeous work. I might be too bold for being here for the first time, but last month I pulled out 12 BOM from 4 YEARS -yes- 4 (atleast)!! One was a "T" block. I discovered after four years that I had sewn on one side wrong. So I ripped it out and fixed it and it looked so much better after it was corrected. Anyway, I love your beautiful block, but I think the Left side of the block in the picture needs a reversal. i would never have noticed it except the same thing happened to me!!!v.
ReplyDeletedid you ever make anything with all these little off cuts?
