Hmmm...I tried the flickr "blog it" function for the first time (by now I deleted the post that only showed the picture) - and I can't say I like it...you can't really edit a post before you send it & the format isn't the way I like it either (picture on the right hand side)...plus, there's only one picture per post...or did I miss something???
VintageMemoriesBoM - Finished Top

Either way, what you probably alread guessed by the title - I finished the Vintage Memories BoM! I actually did on Tuesday, but I wanted to wait to get *somebody* holding up the top for a decent picture...well, as it's now Thursday I thought I better show you the one above because I had to send it to the (*gasp*) quilter...the first quilt ever I give away for quilting.
You can bet I'm pretty excited!
Can't wait for it to be finished...
Oh, and it's another *check* on my Charming Girls Club Goal list...yay!
Of course I couldn't resist and had to (temporarily) add the top to my lovely stack 'o' quilts.
Now it's on its way to the longarmer...please keep your fingers crossed that it will arrive safely (I know, I'm like a mother with her child leaving home for the first time...heehee).
By for now, Julia

Sooo exciting.. a longarmer... please do show when its back .. love to see.. and I knew it .. the quilt is gorgeous.. so so lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!! Sew a schnibble perhaps..;O))
Hey Julia! Your quilt looks FABULOUS! Well done for finishing the top and crossing something off your "To Do" list!! I know what you mean about being nervous sending your quilt 'baby' off to someone ... I am always a nervous wreck when I have to popst projects anywhere, as I've had a number of things 'disappear' in the post over the years. I took my first quilt to a longarm quilter last year and now I'm HOOKED! :0) She does such a beautiful job and the cost is balanced up with how much time it gives me to do other stitching. Can't wait to see your 'baby' back and quilted!! Bear Hugs! KRIS
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt; cant wait to see it all quilted up :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's Beautiful Julia! Fingers crossed for a good mailing experience!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Can't wait to see it quilted up! I sent my first one off last month. Luckily, no post was involved. I drop it at my local shop and she picks up there and drops it back there. I was so pleased with how it turned out. Hoping you have a great experience!
ReplyDeleteYour new charming friend, Dawnmarie
Another gorgeous quilt!
