Designer Mystery & Free Online Class

On Sunday I did not only clean up my stash but also pieced the fifth block of the Fat Quarter Shop's Designer Mystery BOM 2008 {no, I don't get any money from Kimberley Jolly - the other way round, I spend my money at their store... but I simply love the customer service & everything else about this online shop}. Despite unpicking several times I'm afraid this one has some clipped points. Grmpf...I'll see if I can live with that or if I'll play another round of seam ripping ;o).

At Anne's Blog I read about a free online class offered by Jessica Sprague. I had to see what it is about and I signed up for that class (for free) which starts in November. Check out her site yourself, it's much better described than I could summarize ;o).

Thanks for stopping by,
happy stitching,
Julia

Kangarooooooos!

Time flies - and again it's Sunday, which, by the way, lives up to its name. I have to admit that I was lazy, because my Kangaroo block of Lynette Anderson's 'Noah's Ark Stitchery BOM' was finished awhile...
I had much fun while stitching it - the two Kangas are adorably cute...and the best: I could test my new lightbox, which my DH has built just for me (THANK YOU, your're the best DH anyone could wish). It's slightly oversized (in DIY stores all look so small...I always try to keep that in mind...but sometimes I still forget it).
Yesterday I ran through my saved but then abandoned bookmarks and found myself lost in a digital scrapbooking page. I played with Photoshop Elements (ha, I actually manage to play with it!) and designed my first scrapbooking page, Digital Scrapbook Place, (woo-hoo!). As a first attemt I did nothing difficult, but it's really simple and fun! You can see it in the previous post...
Last but not least I want to recommend warmly another blog: Marica, who is really nice and helpful, shows her pretty work - pop over to her blog and enjoy. Besides, she has a secret giveaway on going because of her 1 st blogoversary ;o)
