Something is wrong. Or at least unusual *lol*.
I haven't startet yet another big quilt. It seems the Charming Girl's Club is good for my discipline. Although I feel the urge to start something new whenever I finish something or attain a goal, I stop before much damage is done and continue with something on my list...
This one is just a small achievement, but at least I did more than I thought I would...I finished 3 blocks of last year's Designer Mystery BoM. Yay! Only 3 more to go and I can start assembling the quilt top.
Irgendwas läuft hier schief. Naja, oder zumindest geht hier (für mich) Ungewöhnliches vor *lol*.
Ich habe bis jetzt noch kein neues größeres Quiltprojekt angefangen. Es scheint, dass der Charming Girl's Club gut für meine Quilt-Disziplin ist.
Obwohl ich gerade, wenn ich etwas fertig gestellt habe oder eines meiner CGC-Aufgaben abgehakt habe, am liebsten etwas Neues anfangen würde, bin ich brav und mache statt dessen mit einem Punkt auf meiner Liste weiter...und bin dann ein bisschen stolz auf mich ;o).
Dies ist zwar nur ein kleinerer Punkt auf der To-Do-Liste, aber immerhin habe ich mehr gemacht, als ursprünglich geplant...: ich habe 3 Blöcke des letztjährigen Designer Mystery BoMs fertig. Juhuu! Nur noch 3 und ich kann mit dem Zusammensetzen des Quilttops anfangen.
It seems that I have a problem. Its name is Iron, Steam Iron to be precise. My iron is leaky, so I can't press the blocks with steam after piecing them together - this is why they don't stay as flat as they used to...*sigh*. This is the third iron in one year that broke...let me tell you the Queen is not amused...
Wie's scheint, hab ich ein kleines Problem. Es heißt Bügeleisen, genauer Dampfbügeleisen. Da es leckt, kann ich meine Blöcke nach dem Zusammennähen nicht mehr mit Dampf bügeln, so dass sie auch nicht mehr so platt liegen....hmpf. Das ist bereits das dritte Bügeleisen innerhalb eines Jahres...meine Begeisterung könnt Ihr Euch vorstellen...

oh ja solch ein Jahr hatte ich auch einmal. 3 Bügeleisen, ich sags jetzt besser nicht zu laut. Habe gerade gestern beinahe meines vom Tisch geworfen.

Bei Bügeleisen bin ich auch so ein Spezialist. Inzwischen habe ich meistens ein Bügeleisen auf Vorrat stehen ;)).

I think the Irons of today stinks.. sorry.. but they do... not at all the same as they use to be.. bummer!!! And cheap or expensive ones.. think they are all the same.. so if anyone out there have tips.. please share!!!! Mine is also starting to have issues!!!

Hi if your iron doesn't steam you can dampen a tea towel lay it over your patches and press it is as good as using steam good luck ps love the blocks you are amazing tffn Nicole (UK)

ReplyDeleteI got tired of replacing my iron so now I use a dry iron and Mary Ellen's Best Press (spray starch). Works like a charm!! Any water spray or spray starch would probably do. Try it..
